D.C. is the best place to snag a gig in the coming months, according to Wallethub’s 2016’s Best Cities For Summer Jobs. Comparing the country’s 150 most populated cities, the finance site looked at job market criteria related to opportunities for people aged 16-24 as well as social environments and affordability.
D.C. ranked first in the job market category, which included things like the ratio of part-time to full-time workers, youth unemployment rates, changes in unemployment rates, and more. D.C.’s social environment and cost of living fared lower at 19, as WalletHub considered its own previous studies like the best cities for recreation, active lifestyle, and single people, among other things.
Scottsdale Arizona, San Franciso, Orlando, and Reno rounded out the top five best cities for summer employment. Baltimore, the District’s closest neighbor on the list, ranked 93rd.
