After Washington Business Journal reported that Jefferson Apartment Group purchased four parcels in Shaw, including the building where Town Danceboutique resides, questions about the popular gay club’s future began to swirl.

But don’t worry, Town isn’t going anywhere.

“This sale was not a surprise to us and we have a great relationship with our new landlord who is excited to have us as their tenant. We also enjoy solid lease terms and we intend and fully expect to be throwing parties in our current location for years to come,” the club said in an email to DCist.

We called it one of the best gay and lesbian bars in D.C. back in 2013.
