The Queen comes to Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on Friday.
Tuesday
Purity Ring, Autre Ne Veut @ 9:30 Club 7 P.M. Sold-Out. All ages, accessible venue.
Purity Ring has been riding high since the release of its sophomore record, Another Eternity, last year. The duo has already played two sold-out 9:30 Club shows and have two more this week. Tuesday night’s show is sold-out, but Wednesday is not. Purity Ring live is a delight, as its stage is filled with an impressive amount of lights that complement their electro-pop sounds. Opener Autre Ne Veut is also not to be missed, as his shows are expertly precise. This may be the last time the band comes around for a bit, so it is a must see of the week.
>>Wolf Trap: Lord Huron, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Oh Pep! 7:30 $25-$45. All ages, accessible venue

Wednesday
Dolly Parton @ Wolf Trap 8 P.M. $45-$150. All ages, accessible venue
Dolly Parton is a legend. There really aren’t many more words that have to be said about her, as everything has been said. Parton has released 42 albums with a 43rd to be released in August, and at 70 she still performs regularly. Parton does not come around to this area that much, so if you miss her Wednesday you might have to wait years for her to return.
>>Songbyrd Music House: Wax Idols, King Woman, and Dot Dash 7:30 P.M. $10. All ages, inaccessible venue
Thursday
King Khan & the Shrines, Giorgio Murderer @ Black Cat 7:30 P.M. $15. All ages, accessible venue
For the past 17 years, King Khan has made blistering garage rock with many outfits. His longest running is the 8-piece band, The Shrines. Khan released his last album in 2013 on Merge and is prepping a new 7″, due out next month. While Khan is mostly a garage rock revivalist, he adds soul and psychedelic influences, bringing new life to the genre. Khan’s live shows are rowdy, sweaty fun. Though less debauched then in the past, Khan still delivers, with costume changes and sets full of great songs. All Hail the King.
Friday
Beyoncé, DJ Khaled @ M&T Bank Stadium 7:30 Sold-Out. All ages, accessible venue
Beyoncé is everything. Lemonade is one of the best albums of the year, and seeing her live is like having a deity grace your presence. Yes, this is in Baltimore and yes, the show is sold-out, but there are plenty of tickets left on Stubhub. Beyoncé is one of the hardest working performers in the industry, and her live performances are well worth the effort to get there.
>>9:30 Club: Motion City Soundtrack, Have Mercy, Let It Happen 7 P.M. Sold-Out. All ages, accessible venue
Saturday
>>Songbyrd Music House: Casket Girls, Stardeath & White Dwarfs, Hospital Ships 7:30 $10. All ages, inaccessible venue

Sunday
Childbirth, Colleen Green, Pouty @ Comet Ping Pong 9 P.M. $12. All ages, accessible venue
Seattle three piece Childbirth is feminist punk to the max. Equal parts funny and political, the band takes on every topic with a smile. One of the band’s first songs, “I Only Fucked You as a Joke”, is a fantastic kiss off and a great entry point to Childbirth’s music. The band’s debut album, Women’s Rights, released last year, is full of tracks that are just as pointed (eamples include “Nasty Girls” and “Tech Bro”). Rounding out the bill is Colleen Green whose last album, I Want to Grow Up, was one of the best of last year, and a perfect exploration of what it is like to stop fucking up and getting your shit together.
>>DC9: And the Kids, Vundabar, and Palmas 6:30 P.M. $12. All ages, inaccessible venue
