Five D.C. councilmembers are up for re-election today, and many of them will be awaiting their fate among supporters tonight.

Ward 4 Councilmember Brandon Todd, Ward 7 Councilmember Yvette Alexander, Ward 8 Concilmember LaRuby May, and At-Large Councilmember Vincent Orange are all vying to keep their seats against a few noteworthy contenders. Councilmember Jack Evans (the longest-serving councilmember) is running unopposed for the Ward 2 seat.

Candidates are optimistically inviting constituents to celebrate victories after the polls close at 8 p.m. Here’s where you can find some of them, most of whom have chosen places with plenty of booze.

More Parties

Although he’s not on the ballot, Councilmember Charles Allen is inviting Ward 6 residents to join him in watching the election results at Big Board (421 H St NE) at 8:30 p.m.

And while D.C.’s votes in the presidential election don’t matter at this point, you can still be part of a national celebration with Hillary Clinton supporters at Sign of the Whale (1825 M Street NW) at 8 p.m. RSVP here.
