Photo by LaTurFive D.C. councilmembers are up for re-election today, and many of them will be awaiting their fate among supporters tonight.
Ward 4 Councilmember Brandon Todd, Ward 7 Councilmember Yvette Alexander, Ward 8 Concilmember LaRuby May, and At-Large Councilmember Vincent Orange are all vying to keep their seats against a few noteworthy contenders. Councilmember Jack Evans (the longest-serving councilmember) is running unopposed for the Ward 2 seat.
Candidates are optimistically inviting constituents to celebrate victories after the polls close at 8 p.m. Here’s where you can find some of them, most of whom have chosen places with plenty of booze.

Although he’s not on the ballot, Councilmember Charles Allen is inviting Ward 6 residents to join him in watching the election results at Big Board (421 H St NE) at 8:30 p.m.
