If you’ve ever dreamed of getting paid to deal Black Jack, there may soon be a job for you nearby. Over the next six months, MGM National Harbor is setting out to hire more than three thousand people to work at its forthcoming $1.3 billion casino resort in Prince George’s County. Today marks the opening of the MGM National Harbor Employment Center, as the Washington Business Journal reports .

“Our team is working diligently to hire 3,600+ employees before the end of the year,” the company says on its website. At the center, current staff will interview candidates and process those who they bring on as employees. In addition, people can come into the center and use in-house computers to apply for the company’s jobs online, by appointment only.

The center, a $5 million investment by MGM, is located at a former elementary school in Oxon Hill (near the National Harbor). It’ll be turned over to the county six months after the resort opens, according to WBJ.

More than 700 of the positions will involve manning table games at the casino. Dealer School classes begin July 11 at the employment center. Other available jobs range from retail workers and gardeners to security officers and valets. Plus, MGM is hiring people to work in its food and beverage department as the property will have a food hall with 10 restaurants, in addition to offerings from celebrity chefs including Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, José Andrés, and Marcus Samuelsson.

Forty percent of all positions have been reserved for residents of Prince George’s County, WBJ reports. MGM sealed the deal to operate Maryland’s sixth casino, in the form of an 18-story, 300-suite hotel, back in 2013. It’s slated to open by the end of this year.
