The Metropolitan Police Department has closed several streets near Chinatown due to the report of a suspicious package. The package was found at the intersection of 7th and H Streets NW, an MPD spokesperson told DCist.
Police initially closed the 700 block of 7th and H Streets NW around 10:22 a.m., then officers closed several surrounding streets.

Police would not give further details about the package—who first identified it, and where, exactly, it was found.
