If you’re looking for a place to beat the heat in Adams Morgan today, it won’t happen at one local popsicle shop. Pleasant Pops has closed due to a broken air conditioning system, the shop tweeted this morning.
Adams Morgan store has a broken AC. Closing at 11AM Monday and hoping to reopen Tuesday AM. Downtown still open.

Temperatures in the D.C. region are expected to reach nearly 100 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service, but it already feels hotter than that outside.
Pleasant Pops employees relocated perishable items to the store’s back room cooler this morning, according to Borderstan, which first reported the shop’s temporary closure. The Adams Morgan location is expected to open again tomorrow. But you can still snag that Strawberry Ginger Lemonade pop, which President Obama popularized last year, at the shop’s downtown location that remains open today.
