Today President Barack Obama turns 55, and it looks like the White House is going to party down tomorrow in celebration.
Page Six is reporting that First Lady Michelle Obama is throwing a star-studded bash with Beyoncé, Jay Z, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Magic Johnson, Alonzo Mourning, and Anna Wintour, as well as performances from Usher and Kendrick Lamar.
Don’t feel too sore if your invitation got lost in the mail. “All the preparations and the guest list are being kept top-secret. The plan is to throw a party for the president to really let his hair down. There will be performances and a dance party that will go late into the night. Social media will be banned,” an anonymous source told Page Six.
The real question is whether the First Lady and Beyoncé will perform a rendition of “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” together.
Politicians who scored an invite include Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, according to the report. Vice President Joe Biden is also slated to attend, though it’s unclear if he and the president will be wearing their matching friendship bracelets.
