The beloved cocktail spot The Passenger is set to reopen this month. But before the grand debut of its new location on 7th Street NW, the bar is throwing a bash that looks like it’ll leave few standing.

“We’re having a Rent party on Monday, August 15th. Why? Because it’s the 15th and we still gotta pay rent!” The Passenger announced in a Facebook post today with a photo of founder Tom Brown and general manager Jade Aldrighette.

For $40, folks will get all of the Filibuster Distillery rye and Schlitz brews they can drink. Plus, the HariKaraoke Band will be providing live accompaniment to those hoping to belt, or belch, out a tune.

Responses to the post included “Oh fuck yes,” and “Fucking HELL YES.”

The party goes from 8 p.m. to midnight on Monday, August 15 at The Passenger’s new location: 1539 7th St. NW.
