Let no one say that Washingtonians aren’t willingly borne back ceaselessly into the past. In addition to the annual Tweed Ride and Seersucker Social, fixtures of the vintage cycling circuit organized by Dandies and Quaintrelles, there’s a new offering for the historically minded reveler. New York-based Dardanella, which specializes in “experiential events set in previous decades,” came to D.C. for the first time on Saturday with a Great Gatsby-themed lawn party at the National Cathedral. They came, they swung, they ‘grammed. Next up on the agenda: a Great Gatsby-themed inauguration ball in January.
