Celebrate Banned Books Week with Uncensored: The Cocktail Party on Friday, September 30, 7 PM at the MLK Library. The evening will feature:

  • Banned book-inspired cocktails from local bars like 2 Birds 1 Stone, Columbia Room, Petworth Citizen, Southern Efficiency and Zaytinya
  • Food from Mess Hall and beer from DC Brau
  • Music by The Feedel Band, DJ Ayes Cold and Chain and the Gang
  • A pop-up market with DC Public Library Fab Lab and several local retailers
  • Artwork by Adrienne Gaither
  • Décor by Kim Burke and Katie Parker, the creators of the “Miracle on Seventh Street” Pop-up
  • Live screen printing by Soul & Ink
