More D.C. centric merchandise is hitting the shelves courtesy of Bucketfeet and No Kings Collective. For the first time, the Chicago-based footwear brand will release a shoe designed by a D.C. artist.

Bucketfeet, a company that lets artists display work—and receive royalties—on sneakers, announced today its partnership with the District-based creative firm. The limited-run shoes will feature the obligatory Washington Monument and D.C. flag (sans stars), plus a homage in the form of food: chicken wings drenched in mambo sauce. The shoes’ insoles will read “Hustle Hard”—No Kings’ motto.

While No Kings made waves in the District’s arts scene years ago with events such as Submerge, Bucketfeet just opened its first brick-and-mortar store in D.C. over the summer.

“Partnering with Brandon and Peter at No Kings Collective was a no-brainer for us,” says Bucketfeet co-founder and CEO Raaja Nemani in a release. “They’re doing big things here and have such an infectious enthusiasm for their city. We’re thrilled to be on this journey together.”

The men’s and women’s slip-ons will be unveiled in December, with only 240 pairs available at Bucketfeet’s store at The Shay. Dubbed “7’s,” the shoes are priced at $65.

“This is truly a dream collaboration and we can’t wait to see Washingtonians walking across the city — and the world — in our new shoes!” said Brandon Hill of No Kings in the release.
