Indiana Governor Mike Pence and Virginia Senator Tim Kaine are giving their political counterparts a rest tonight and stepping up to the plate for the only vice presidential debate this election season. Senator Kaine has a home field advantage as the event is taking place at Longwood University in Farmville, Va. Meanwhile, bars in D.C. and beyond are breaking out the booze (free and reduced), political bingo games, and high-profile figures to screen the 9 p.m. faceoff, which will be moderated by Elaine Quijano of CBS News.

HIGHLINE RxR: The Arlington Young Democrats and the Democratic Asian Americans of Virginia are cheering for Senator Kaine at “Crystal City’s new social anchor.” The festivities begin at 8 p.m.
JR’S BAR: The Latino Victory Fund and Environmental Defense Fund is gathering near Dupont Circle to play some custom-made Loteria, wine, dine, and watch the debate. Admission is free, but an RSVP is required. It starts at 8 p.m.
BUSBOYS AND POETS: All locations of Andy Shallal’s chain will be screening the debate at 9 p.m.
AFI SILVER THEATRE AND CULTURAL CENTER: Several of Montgomery County’s democratic clubs and the Hillary for America campaign are gathering in Silver Spring this evening. At 8 p.m., Comptroller Peter Franchot of Maryland will speak to supporters in preparation for the face off.

PENN SOCIAL: Gather in the Penn Quarter for $4 Sam Adams beers and watch the debate on a 22″ big screen, starting at 9 p.m.
SONGBYRD MUSIC HOUSE & RECORD CAFE: Come for happy hour at 5 p.m., and stick around for debate watching at this Adams Morgan haunt.
VENTNOR SPORTS CAFE: This Adams Morgan bar has dubbed itself D.C.’s “debate headquarters.” As such, they will be screening all of the debates, including tonight’s face off.
STANTON & GREENE: In addition to watching the debate, this Capitol Hill spot is unveiling four cocktails (so-named Greatness, Progress, Liberty and Green/Peace) in honor of the election.

BLACKFINN AMERIPUB: Predict It is hosting this shindig, and the first 50 people to come through will get a free drink. Plus, guests can play debate bingo, and take photos with life-sized photos of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The event kicks off at 8 p.m.
HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN HEADQUARTERS: The Human Rights Campaign for Greater D.C. is opening up its office for phone bankers and debate watchers at 5 p.m. Congressman Don Beyer of Virginia will be in the house, as well.
NELLIE’S SPORTS BAR: Once again, this U Street bar is is offering $15 buckets of Bud products throughout the evening for its debate screening. The DC Log Cabin Republicans is inviting folks to meet them there as well.
COBALT: Before the debate, a slate of governmental officials, previous Hillary Clinton staffers, and others with ties to LGBT rights efforts are bringing the “community together during this critical time to discuss how to expand the progress on LGBT rights at home and abroad.” Following the event, everyone will watch the debate. Tickets start at $45.
