If you’ve been eager to get a taste of Minibar (855 E St. NW) without shelling out $275 a person on dinner, now is your chance.

Chef José Andrés’ innovative restaurant is celebrating its recent two-Michelin star award with a free open house today from 1 to 3 p.m. Guests who stop by will receive a complimentary glass of cava and taste of risotto with burgundy and white truffles. Seems like a pretty good deal as far as afternoon snacks are concerned. You can also have a chance to sneak a peek at both Minibar and the adjacent Barmini dining spaces.

Washington’s first Michelin Guide was a big win for Andrés and his team, as the chef also received multiple Bib Gourmand nods for his work at China Chilcano, Jaleo, Oyamel, and Zaytinya.

Minibar says it plans to hold several other special events this month to celebrate its two stars.
