This Saturday, the Walk & 5K To End HIV is shutting down several downtown roads, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Some streets near Freedom Plaza are closing to traffic before the event kicks off. Pennsylvania Avenue between 13th to 14th Street NW will be blocked on Friday at 7 p.m. and reopen on Saturday at 7 a.m. And the following roads will be closed on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.:

  • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 12th and 14th Streets, NW
  • 13th Street, NW between E Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
  • The actual event will take place on Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m., at which time the roads below will be closed to traffic.

    • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW from 12th to 3rd Streets, NW
    • 12th Street, NW from E Street to Constitution Avenue, NW
    • 11th Street, NW from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
    • 10th Street from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW
    • 9th Street from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW
    • 7th Street from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW
    • 6th Street from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW
    • 4th Street from Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to 4th Street to Madison Drive, NW
    • 3rd Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to E Street, SW
    • 4th Street from E Street, SW to Independence Avenue, SW
    • 6th Street, SW from Independence Avenue, SW to C Street, SW
    • Independence Avenue, SW from 7th to 3rd Streets, SW
    • D Street between 4th Street, SW to 3rd Street SW
