COCKTAILS: Fall Cocktail Classes at the Magnus Distillery continue tonight with a focus on the Boulevardier cocktail. Jake Kenny, Magnus Brand Ambassador and bartender at Columbia Room, will share the cocktail’s history and share tips on perfecting the bourbon-based drink. (Jos. A. Magnus & Co, 6-9 p.m. $50)

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15

DRAMA: Story District, the monthly storytelling series held every 2nd Tuesday at Town Danceboutique, is back to entertain you with stories of “draaaaammma.” (Town Danceboutique, 8 p.m. $15)

SECRET GARDEN: The Shakespeare Theatre Company begins their production of the Tony Award®-winning musical based on the beloved children’s book, The Secret Garden. Performances run through December 31. (Shakespeare Theatre Company, 7:30 p.m., $44-102)

NEWSEUM NIGHTS: The last Newseum Nights of the year highlights the Berlin Wall Gallery, the largest display of unaltered portions of the wall outside of Germany. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17

SET DESIGN: There are lots of places to paint and sip around town, but only one place adds power tools to the mix. During Beers in the Shop, you’ll take over Studio Theatre’s carpentry shop in this behind-the-scenes look at Studio Theatre’s set design. The ticket price includes unlimited beer and wine and light hors d’oeuvres. (Studio Theatre, 6:30 p.m., $20)

ROMCOM: Watch the ensemble romantic comedy Marriage Blue and follow a baseball player and a doctor, a beautician and a chef, a florist and an immigrant, and an office worker and wedding planner as they each second guess their wedding plans. (Korean Cultural Center, 6 p.m. FREE, RSVP required)

MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING: Musician and motivational speaker Andrew W.K. is on a mission to form a new political party, The Party Party. During his nationwide speaking tour The Power of Partying, W.K. will share his “eternal mission to defend and promote human joy, and the never-ending collective search to find truth through partying.” (Black Cat, 7:30 p.m. $20)

MUSEUM AFTER HOURS: BYT brings you another opportunity to party at a museum after hours, this time at the National Portrait Gallery. Into the Blue will highlight the work of video-art pioneer Bill Viola in National Portrait Gallery’s first exhibition devoted to media art, Bill Viola: The Moving Portrait. Because it’s a party, there will also be DJs, an open bar, small bites, a photo booth, Instagram printer, and more. (National Portrait Gallery, 8:30-11:30 p.m. $50)
