MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28

TANGO PERFORMANCE: Follow Margot on her journey from her rural Argentine village to the big city as the Buenos Aires based Estampas Porteñas Tango Company presents Deseos…Stories of Longing and Desire told through Argentine Tango and Music. (Strathmore, 7:30 p.m., $28-68)

USAIN BOLT:: Follow a day in the life of the world’s fastest man when I Am Bolt screens for one night only. The documentary features interviews with Usain’s parents, best friends, agent, coach and fellow athletes, footage from the Beijing World Championships, Rio Olympics, and London Olympics, plus footage shot by Usain himself. COCKTAIL CLASS: Fall Cocktail Classes at the Magnus Distillery continue. This week, learn all about the Flip Cocktail. (Jos. A. Magnus & Co, 6-9 p.m. $50)

TREE LIGHTING: Head to the Village at Shirlington for some holiday cheer. Shirlie Lights Up the Village will feature live musical performances, photos with Santa, a tree lighting, plus complimentary rides on a horse drawn carriage (with the donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center). SING-ALONG: This month’s A People’s Choir DC is all about cravings. Sing along to “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover,” “You’re The One That I Want,” and more. (DC9 Nightclub, 7:30-9:45 p.m. FREE)

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1

BREWLIGHTS: What’s better than an evening stroll through the National Zoo during ZooLights? An evening stroll with a beer in hand. During BrewLights, attendees will enjoy six pours from a choice of over two dozen breweries (additional pours available for an extra cost), restaurant tastings, plus “snow” tubing. (National Zoo, 5-9 p.m. $55)

WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP: The UpCycle Creative Reuse Center in Alexandria hosts a Holiday Watercolor Card Workshop. Paint five designs as you sip on hot cider or cocoa. Attendees are also welcome to bring cookies to share! (UpCycle Creative Reuse Center, 7-9 p.m. $30)

DIANA ROSS: Friday and Saturday performances are almost sold out, but there is still a nice chunk of seats available for Thursday’s show. Watch Diana Ross make her Kennedy Center Concert Hall debut with accompaniment by the NSO Pops. (Kennedy Center, 7 p.m. $59-179)

TORPEDO FACTORY: Shop for gifts from over 200 artists during the Torpedo Factory Artists’ Holiday Party. Guests can also test their luck at winning art and gift certificates in a raffle. (Torpedo Factory, 6-9 p.m. FREE)
