This weekend’s agenda includes a Kanye vs. Tay Tay showdown, swapping things you no longer use for things you tell yourself you’re going to use, shopping in your pajamas, and more.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2
HOLIDAY SHOPPING: You probably already know there is no shortage of holiday markets in the area. A couple highlights on Friday include the Christkindlmarkt, featuring a rotation of nearly four dozen vendors selling goods at the Heurich House Museum Friday through Sunday. (Friday is Made in DC night, 4-9 p.m. $10). Meanwhile, Miss Pixie’s 4th Annual Holiday Market will feature a 20 percent off sale, food and drinks, and over 20 local vendors (5:30-8:30 p.m.)
KANYE VS TAY TAY: The only way to settle a feud is with a dance party. Head to the Rock & Roll Hotel for a full night of Kanye and Taylor Swift tracks (and possibly a few bonus tracks from their friends). (10 p.m. $10)
CHRISTMAS JAM: Ring in the holidays with a little song and dance. The Christmas revue, J.A.M. 6 Days of Christmas, features a talented team of singers and dancers performing mixes of Christmas classics and the best pop songs of all time. (Anacostia Arts Center, 8 p.m. $15-25, *Saturday performances also available)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3
A DAY IN ALEXANDRIA: Between the Del Ray Holiday Market (Mt Vernon and Hume Avenue), the Alexandria Holiday Market (300 John Carlyle Street), the Holiday Ceramics Sale, and all the storefronts located in the neighborhood, you should have no issues finding the perfect gift. Make sure to stick around until 5:30 p.m. to watch festively lit boats depart the docks of Alexandria during the annual Parade of Lights. (You can also head to the SW Waterfront to watch them arrive there at 7 p.m.)
ABUNDANCE SWAP: Do you have anything in your home that you are not making much use of, even though it’s still in great condition? Trade it in at the Abundance Swap. The rules are simple. Simply bring a gently used item and place it at a table, then take another item from the table. (Shepherd Park (Juanita E. Thornton) Library, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. FREE)
MAKE IT WORKSHOPS: Now that a new heated pavilion makes Wunder Garten suitable for winter gatherings, they are ready to host you for a day of crafting. During The Holiday Make-It, guests can choose from a series of classes where you can make your own terrarium, learn faux calligraphy, dye your own scarf, and more. (Wunder Garten, 12-6 p.m., $35-50 per class, *Sunday classes also available)
METROCOOKING DC: The 11th annual MetroCooking DC Show returns with a weekend of workshops, an exhibit hall featuring hundreds of specialty food vendors, plus cooking demos by local and celebrity chefs, including Tom Colicchio and Jacques Pepin. (Washington Convention Center, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. $21.50 general admission *some activities are an additional cost)

Don’t leave your house in anything other than pajamas on Sunday. Pajamarama, a Takoma tradition, returns to offer pajama wearers special discounts and promotions.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4
PAJAMARAMA: Not that you ever needed an excuse to don your pajamas in public, but on Sunday, you’ll get rewarded for doing so. During Pajamarama, visit over two dozen Takoma business in your favorite pajama pants for special promotions and discounts. A full list of participating businesses can be found here (8 a.m.-11 a.m.)
CULINARY WOMEN: At the third annual Culinary Women In Words guests will be able to meet thirteen of the region’s female leaders in food, beverage, nutrition, and hospitality. Sample bites and beverages as you learn about the cookbooks, healthy-eating guides, food-related fiction, and culinary memoirs written by these inspiring women. (Salon ILO, 2-5 p.m. $20)
HOLIDAY PRINTING WORKSHOP: Everyone loves a little handmade touch. If you can’t make an entire gift by hand, at least consider designing your own card, or wrapping paper. JEWISH FOOD EXPERIENCE: Schmooze with foodies from across D.C.’s Jewish community at Nosh, Sip & Schmooze presented by the Jewish Food Experience and One Eight Distilling. Sip on hand-crafted cocktails, nosh on hors d’oeuvres from the new On Rye restaurant and meet chef, food blogger and author Amy Kritzer. Plus, enjoy desserts featured in her book, Sweet Noshings!
