D.C. Police arrested a hospital employee who they say sexually assaulted a patient while she received medical treatment in Southeast.

Premarcos Simon, a 51-year-old resident of Waldorf, Md., “inserted his fingers inside her vagina and fondled her clitoris” at United Medical Center, according to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department. The incident took place on Sunday around 11 a.m.

Simon is an emergency department technician, according to David Thompson, a spokesperson for the hospital. As the case is under investigation, United Medical Center officials are not allowed to comment further, Thompson said.

Simon is being charged with first degree sexual abuse of a patient, according to D.C. police. He was released on bond Monday, NBC Washington reports, and a preliminary hearing is set for December 16.
