Trevor Noah will interview President Barack Obama on The Daily Show on December 12, Comedy Central announced. The interview will take place at the White House and will be simulcast on Comedy Central, MTV, and BET.

This is the president’s first time on the show since Noah took the reins in September 2015.

Despite some tough questions from Noah’s predecessor, Jon Stewart, during his four appearances on The Daily Show (three as sitting president), Obama had kind words for the host.

“I can’t believe that you’re leaving before me,” he said during his last appearance in July 2015. “I’m going to issue an executive order: Jon Stewart cannot leave the show. It’s being challenged in the courts.”

The LA Times described rewatching those interviews as “watching a love story unfold, with the initial meet-cute, the excitement of the initial courtship and the snipes that come after the honeymoon period wears off and the relationship reaches a comfortable security.”

Only time will tell if Noah will send off the president with some cupcakes, as he did for conservative commentator Tomi Lahren after her controversial appearance last week.

While now we’re accustomed to Obama slow-jamming the news or reading mean tweets, his appearance with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show marked the first time a sitting president was a guest on a late night show.
