This week’s agenda includes live podcast and comedy album recordings, a game of truth or dare, art and comedy about menstruation, and more.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 12

CAUSE-DRIVEN EVENTS: Choose from one of two cause-driven events (or choose both) and enjoy drink specials, art, and comedy while supporting a good cause. First, RedDot, the service initiative that was started in order to collect menstrual health products for women experiencing homelessness in D.C., hosts See the Red, a period-inspired art exhibition and comedy show. (Fathom Gallery, 6-9 p.m. Suggested donation of $10 for the artists, plus a donation of tampons, pads or cups). Meanwhile, Amara, a D.C.-based nonprofit that provides legal funds for victims of commercial sexual exploitation, hosts a Holiday Happy Hour featuring drink specials, raffle prizes, and an auction. (The Bier Baron Tavern, 8 p.m.-12 a.m. $10 suggested donation)

TRUTH OR DARE: Whether you’re team truth or team dare, you’re sure to enjoy this “sideshow-storytelling mashup,” Truth and Dare! Featuring an all-female cast, you’ll hear tales of mistaken identity, failure-based triathlon strategies, and celebrity crushes. The performance also has sexy fire eaters, stripping puppets, and more. (The Passenger, 8-10 p.m. $15)

WREATH MAKING: It’s easy enough to find a traditional wreath making workshop this month, but if you want to stand out from the crowd, make a diamond shaped wreath during Holley Simmons’ Geometric Wreaths class. Students will learn how to wire succulents, arrange clusters of evergreens, and care for air plants on their way to making a pair of geometric wreaths. (The Lemon Bowl, 7-8 p.m. $75)
