Vincent Orange, fighting Kwame Brown for Gray’s seat, went with a smaller Cadillac SUV than his competitor. What, he couldn’t afford an orange paint job?

Trevor Noah sat down with President Barack Obama for a comprehensive Daily Show interview last night, in a segment with very few jokes.

Noah, who was interviewing the president for the first time, began with national intelligence. He questioned why the president ordered of a “full review” of reports of hacking-related activity aimed at disrupting or altering the presidential election.

Part of Obama’s response pointed to coverage of the hack. “What is it about the state of our democracy where the leaks of what were frankly not very interesting emails—that didn’t have any explosive information in them—ended up being an obsession? And the fact that the Russians were doing this was not an obsession?”

Noah also got the President Obama’s take on President-Elect Trump’s comments about refusing to attend daily intelligence briefings. While noting that the intelligence team isn’t perfect, Obama said, “they are full of extraordinarily hardworking, patriotic, and knowledgeable experts and if you’re not getting their perspective—their detailed perspective—then you are flying blind.”

After touching on Obamacare, Noah ended with a discussion on race and racism, in which the president noted that he’s never held his tongue on the topic. Rather, he says he was intent on finding ways to speak diplomatically about race relations.

Although the president has reportedly acquired a post-presidential office in D.C., he told Noah that it’s important for him to recharge, reflect, “get back in my wife’s good graces, and take a decent vacation and spend some time with her.” He also says he’ll do some writing and speaking.

And while he may speak on issues that he finds unconstitutional once he’s out of office, Obama said “it’s important to give the incoming administration the space and to give the public clarity of what it is that they’re trying to do.”
