Metro Transit Police officers are looking for suspects involved in the break-ins of more than four dozen cars at a Metro station yesterday morning.
The incidents took place between 4 – 4:45 a.m. at Greenbelt Metro station where the cars were parked overnight, according to Dan Stessel, spokesperson for Metro. There were a total of 54 cars with broken windows. And no items were reported stolen.
One of the victims is a man who was visiting from Philadelphia. “It’s annoying mainly just because we want to get on the road and it’s just a hassle but nothing is gone, the car is drivable. Just thankful for that, I guess,” Matthew Oneill told WJLA.
Metro tweeted surveillance photos of the suspects, asking for the public’s assistance in the case.
