It didn’t amount to much in the end, but D.C. got its first snow dusting of the season this afternoon. Flurries passed through the city for about 10 minutes before giving way to sunshine.
According to the Capital Weather Gang, frigid temperatures at the end of the first week in January might set the stage for a more significant event.
With temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s, the snow didn’t stick. But here’s what it looked like around town:
