Fairfax County firefighters have been battling a massive blaze at a recycling and disposal center in Lorton for more than 12 hours. There are three stories of trash on fire inside of the incinerator, Battalion Chief Rodriguez said in a video update.
Fire crews arrived at 9898 Furnace Road around 9 p.m. last night, NBC Washington reports. It took about 60 firefighters to control the blaze, but officials say it could take a couple days to fully extinguish.
No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
