It is way too late to get tickets for the opening weekend to Yayoi Kusama’s blockbuster retrospective opening at the Hirshhorn, but this weekend’s agenda includes getting chilly at Ice Yards, warming up with ramen, a music festival, arts festival, spirits festival, and more.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24
MUSIC FESTIVAL: Before it closes for a modernization project, spend an evening rocking out at the MLK Library. The Rock the Stacks music festival will feature music from nine iconic D.C. musicians, including Fort Knox Five, Benjy Ferree, and Sitali + JuJu. In additional to musical performances, guests will be able to enjoy live screen printing by Soul & Ink, plus drinks and snacks provided by Room 11, District Distilling Co, DC Brau and Cake Love. (MLK LIbrary, 7-10 p.m. $75)
ARTS FESTIVAL: For the next nine days, the The Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival will bring the best of DC arts to H Street. The full schedule of events will cover theater, dance, music, film, spoken word, art space activation, and more. Friday’s line-up includes the “queer-lady sea-lion fruit-bat play,” and a musical tribute to Shakespeare. (Atlas Performing Arts Center, various times and prices)
INDOOR CLIMBING: This month, during the The Rendezvous at Earth Treks, visitors can enjoy indoor climbing, beer, “Belaytionship Bingo!,” (a way to meet new climbing partners while winning prizes), a clothing drive where you can exchange clothing or footwear for a raffle ticket, wall twister, and more. (Earth Treks – Crystal City, 6-10 p.m. $20)

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25
ROLLER DERBY: The DC Rollergirls kick off their 2017 season this Saturday. Watch the DC Rollergirls National Maulers vs. Free State Roller Derby, and enjoy a halftime show by Batalá Washington, D.C.’s all-women percussion band. (DC Armory, 3-7:30 p.m. $15)
SPIRIT FESTIVAL: At the DC Distillers Festival, sample over 60 craft spirits from 20 distillers, including Belmont Farm Distillery, KO Distilling, Mt. Defiance Cidery & Distillery, and more. (Long View Gallery, Multiple Sessions Available, $85-150)
POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS: During PowerPoint Karaoke, ten competitors will attempt to give coherent, charismatic presentations based on user submitted PowerPoint decks. Showcase your own quick wit by joining the lottery to present, or just go to sit back and get a little more educated. (Colony Club, 7-9:30 p.m. FREE)

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26
ICE YARDS: Ice Yards may be the closest thing to a winter you will get this season. Guests will gain access to igloo pods, interactive ice activities and games (think a shuffleboard table made of ice), a snow cone bar, icy cocktails, and more. The admission price includes one drink ticket. (Yards Park, 12-5 p.m. $10)
RAMEN: Ramen World returns to Mess Hall with two hour sessions of unlimited food and drink. Featuring all-stars Sushi Taro and Thip Khao, rookies Conbini by Uzu, Bird’s Eye Sandwich Shop , and more! (Mess Hall, 12-2 p.m. or 3-5 p.m. $70-105)
