While Winter Storm Stella brought some closures and delayed openings on the closest the region has come this season to a snow day (or a Faux Day, if you prefer), the weather did not bring nearly as much actual snow as was initially forecasted.
So, the D.C. area is getting ready to transition back to normalcy on Wednesday.
Metro is telling riders to expect regular service when it comes to trains on Wednesday. Normal includes SafeTrack, which is currently on its thirteenth work surge, which affects the Blue and Yellow lines. MetroBus resumed normal service Wednesday morning, and MetroAccess will also be back.
Other city services will resume on Wednesday as well, with D.C. government planning to open on time.
The enforcement of street sweeping regulations and the scheduled collection of bulk trash items will resume on Wednesday, March 15.

With forecasts that the temperature will drop below freezing this evening, the District is activating its cold emergency plan. If you see people who need shelter on the streets, call the Shelter Hotline at 202-399-7093 or 311.
