Dolcezza Gelato & Coffee is celebrating the “infinite birthday” of artist Yayoi Kusama by offering free “Infinity” gelato tomorrow.
The new flavor is being offered at Dolcezza’s nine shops and markets in the region and its pop-up at The Hirshhorn Museum, where the immersive “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” exhibition is now on view.
The catch? Visitors must wear polka dots “one of the artist’s signature motifs,” according to a release from The Hirshhorn.
The flavor is inspired by Kusama’s art and D.C.’s signature cherry blossoms—the vanilla gelato has chocolate flakes, a triple-cherry swirl with luxardo, and amaretto-spiced cherries. It’ll be available at all shops until the exhibit closes at The Hishhorn on May 14.
Since its opening, free tickets to the blockbuster exhibit, featuring twinkling mirror rooms and surreal sculptures, have sold out in minutes. During Monday’s release, 57,000 people were on the site, attempting to claim 6,000 tickets.
The museum has since announced that it’s increasing the number of same-day passes available and the exhibition will now stay open late on Wednesdays, until 8 p.m., through May 3, among other changes to accommodate more people.
And Dolcezza announced that it’s Hirshhorn pop-up is extending its hours starting April 3.
