WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29
Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard brings its high energy performance to the 9:30 Club. 7 p.m. doors. $18.
Black Cat hosts Hippo Campus with support from Magic City Hippies. 7:30 p.m. doors. $15.
Pittsburgh’s Rusted Root combines elements of acoustic rock and worldly sound, pulling influences from Latin America and Africa. To date, the band has sold over 3 million records; their most notable work being “Send Me on My Way,” from their 1994 platinum selling album, When I Woke. The band plays and 8 p.m. show at The Fillmore with opener Nicholas David. $22.
The Renaissance at Dupont Circle brings back Live in the Living Room. A D.C. local, David Thong will be playing original music and some covers, accompanied by Elizabeth Sullivan, another area artist. 8 p.m. FREE
THURSDAY, MARCH 30
London’s own Skinny Lister brings their original folk music to Rock & Roll Hotel with support from indie artist Jared Hart. 7 p.m. doors. $18.
Late Night Music in The Loft, hosted by The Hamilton, will feature Moonshine Society, which combines elements of roots rock, blues and classic R&B. 10:30 p.m. FREE
Songbyrd hosts Growroom Getdown, a musical and artistic celebration from Growroom Productions. This is a free show, with donations encouraged. Ill Uma Naughty, an indie electronic band mixing elements of improvisational dance, starts the night. Trip-hop soul artist Dara Z finishes out the evening. 8 p.m. doors.

Local D.C. punk band, Rocket City Riot headlines a Velvet Lounge with support from Floodlore (www.floodlore.com) and The Originators (https://www.facebook.com/TheOrginatorsDc/). 7:30 p.m. doors. $8.
Tropicalia hosts Moral Hangover’s 2nd Annual Latin Rock show. All of the proceeds will go to a start-up in South America that will help get out of school children back to formal education by teaching them math through music. 7DrumCity is co-sponsoring the event, which also features local bands Indigo and Latin Velvet. 7 p.m. $8 in advance, $10 (cash only) at the door.
The Mockstrocity Tour, featuring Mac Sabbath, Metalachi, and OKILLY DOKILLY, takes over Black Cat. 8 p.m. doors. $20.

Alt-country band, Lambchop, plays U Street Music Hall with support from Sloppy Heads. 7 p.m. doors. $25.
With a career spanning nearly three decades, The Slackers, a NYC reggae/ska/rock band, consistently plays over 100 dates each year, including performances overseas in Europe, Asian and Canada. The band’s discography includes 11 studio albums, 3 live albums, and multiple EPs. Its most recent self-titled album, released in February of 2016, was a product of a successful crowdfunding campaign. The band plays Rock & Roll Hotel with support from Baltimore’s The Scotch Bonnets and local ska band, The Captivators. 7 p.m. doors. $20 in advance/$25 at the door.

Philadelphia electro-pop musician Moon Bounce takes the stage at Black Cat with Ehiorobo and Good Intent & Yung Shonen. 7:30 p.m. doors. $10 in advance/$12 at the door.
