D.C. police arrested a 16-year-old student who they say posted several threatening messages on social media.

A school administrator at Eastern High School told police about the student’s Instagram posts on Monday, according to a release from the Metropolitan Police Department.

The student posted an image of himself on Instagram with the caption “school shooter” along with two gun emojis, according to a police report. One of his followers commented “No one is safe,” and the student responded by saying “Not a single Soul” followed by devil, skull, and gun emojis.

Police arrested the freshman at school, without incident, and charged him with felony threats.

Last week, a father told authorities that his daughter allegedly plotted a mass shooting at her high school in Fredrick County, Maryland, WTOP reported. The 18 year old is now facing felony charges.

In response to the arrest at Eastern, D.C. Public Schools spokesperson Janae Hinson said in a statement that the threat “was taken very seriously, was quickly resolved with minimal disruption, and is being treated as an isolated incident.” She added that the school system is working with authorities “in monitoring these types of social media postings, and we will remain vigilant in maintaining student and staff safety.”
