THURSDAY, APRIL 6

Tortoise and Hare in Arlington has been the host of Ladies’ Night on Stage for the last 2 years. Every Thursday, women musicians from all over D.C. and Virginia come together to jam together and bring you original and cover music. Hosted by D.C. music veteran, Cathy DiToro, Ladies’ Night on Stage has become a staple in the music community, where women are encouraged and given a stage for their art to shine. This week, Ladies’ Night features rock band Sheila at 9 p.m. FREE

Postgame at The Bullpen at Nationals Park brings you pop/folk/rock band Turtle Recall, playing originals, covers, and mash-ups. 6:30 p.m. FREE

D.C. local indie pop band Vim & Vigor makes its Velvet Lounge debut, with support from North Carolina’s rock band Thirsty Curses (formerly The Forgotten Man) and fellow D.C. rockers Tempercrush. 8:30 p.m. FREE

FRIDAY, APRIL 7

In the EDM world, female DJ’s are hard to come by. Two of the industry’s rising stars, Nore En Pure and Anna Lunoe, will join Bakermat at Echostage for the Good Vibe Tribe Tour. Lunoe can boast performances in some of the world’s best festivals, from Baltimore’s Moonrise Festival to Coachella, Ultra, and Lollapalooza. An Australian transplant, Lunoe was born in Sydney but recently relocated to Los Angeles. And South African/Swiss DJ Daniela Niederer, better known by her stage name Nora En Pure, is rapidly climbing the ranks in the electronic world due to her 2013 single, “Come With Me”. Rounding out the Good Vibe Tribe Tour is Dutch headliner, Lodewijk Fluttert, AKA Bakermat, who is known for his deep house tracks and mixes. Doors 9 p.m. $36.80 (+ fees).

SATURDAY, APRIL 8

Try something a little different this weekend and go over to the Congressional Cemetery for Dead Men’s Hollow, a bluegrass-gospel group from D.C. The cemetery’s historic chapel will provide the backdrop for original and traditional music. 7 p.m. $20 (+ fees).

The Lothario, a.k.a Paige Plissner, brings her club and bass music to the newly reopened Dupont Underground. 8 p.m. $12.

Rock and Roll Hotel hosts Virginia native and southern soul/blues/rock singer-songwriter Justin Jones with Beccs and Down Dexter. Door 7 p.m., music at 8 p.m. $15 (+ fees).

MONDAY, APRIL 10

Coming to D.C. for the first time, the Refugee Orchestra Project teams up with Gourmet Symphony to bring a truly unique experience to The Fillmore. The Refugee Orchestra Project “brings together dozens of performers, instrumentalists, and singers whose friends and families have fled to this country to escape violence and persecution…”. Gourmet Symphony will be supplementing the orchestra with musicians from the area who are also refugees, related to refugees, or supportive and passionate about the cause. With the Refuge Through Music event, and supportive donors and sponsors, proceeds go to HIAS and IRC to assist in supporting those abroad looking for asylum. This is a free event, however donations are suggested. Any donations of $50 or more will receive premium seating and a gourmet gift box. 7:30 p.m.

Head to Blues Alley for a night with Laura Reed. 8 p.m. $20 (+ fees).
