A National Rifle Association employee accidentally shot himself at the organization’s headquarters yesterday afternoon, according to the Fairfax County Police.
The 46-year-old man was attending a training at the National Firearm Museum‘s shooting range. The gun went off accidentally as he placed it in a holster around 3:30 p.m., according to the police account.
He suffered a “minor” wound to his lower body, and was taken to the hospital. He is not expected to be charged with any crimes in the incident.
