D.C. police say they’ve charged a man for punching a woman in the face and attempting to sexually assault her in Georgetown.
The incident took place around 2:45 a.m. in the 3300 block of N Street NW on Saturday when a man approached the victim and “began punching her in the face,” according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.
The woman told police that the man then knocked her to the ground, kissed her, and tried to pull her pants down, according to the report. She said the victim then fled.
Police arrested 22 year-old Tejeda Hernandez-Chrispin, of Northwest, on Saturday. He was charged with assault with intent to commit first degree sexual abuse.
