There’s a lot of news breaking in our nation’s capital, but surely none shook Washingtonians more on Wednesday than the revelation that regional convenience store Wawa is planning to open up shop in the District.

Now, we’re learning more about what Wawa has in store for Washington.

One Wawa will be located downtown at 1111 19th Street NW, per a tipster who asked to remain anonymous but was able to provide documentation confirming the address. It will be a “comprised deli kiosk setup,” according to the tipster.

Wawa plans on opening 11 stores in D.C., says another person, who was contacted by a recruiter to work as a general manager at one of the stores. The person, who asked to remain anonymous, says some of them will be gas stations and some of them will be standalone stores.

Wawa says it will announce all of its plans for the District on June 13, at a presentation called “The Wawa Way Meets the Capital Beltway” to be held at the Newseum. That includes unveiling renders of a “store uniquely designed for the DC customer!”, per an invitation posted by Popville.

A Wawa spokesperson confirmed that the event is happening, but has not responded to specific questions about the location or number of stores opening in D.C.

Already, the regional chain has stores in Maryland and Virginia, as well as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida. Three new Wawas are slated to open this summer in Virginia—located in Sterling, Norfolk, and Manassas.
