Photo courtesy of the Montgomery County Police DepartmentPolice are searching for a man with special needs who went missing during a visit to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on Monday.
34-year-old Samly Keosiphanseang is “considered non-verbal” and functions at a level of an 8-year-old boy, according to a release from the Montgomery County Police Department. He’s from Silver Spring, Maryland.
Police say that Keosiphanseang separated from his chaperone inside of the museum around 1:30 p.m., and his family hasn’t been able to contact him since then.
Officials say his family is “concerned for [Keosiphanseang’s] welfare” and is asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1. Police from D.C. and Montgomery County are on the case.
Keosiphanseang is described as an Asian male, 5′ 6″ tall, and about 160 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt with orange stripes, white shorts, and red Nike shoes.
