Want to stretch out in one of the world’s largest rooms?

After announcing a free spring and summer yoga initiative earlier this year, the Kennedy Center is continuing the program for another year. Classes take place in the Grand Foyer, lit by 16 crystal chandeliers with eight 60-foot mirrors on the wall … so definitely a step up from that sad room in the gym.

Twice-weekly classes will continue through the end of September, before moving to a weekly basis through August of 2018 (with the exception of several Saturdays during the holiday season).

The all-levels classes are part of the Kennedy Center’s “Sound Health” program aimed at making “important and sometimes surprising connections between the performing arts and mind-body wellness.”

Each class is an hour, starting at 10:15 a.m. in the Grand Foyer. Yogis can fill out a liability waiver and sign up online, or show up for remaining spots on a first come, first served basis. Here is the schedule for the rest of the year:
