Police arrested a man on Wednesday who they say sexually touched and exposed himself to a teenage girl on Metrorail.

Officials had a warrant to arrest 26-year-old Wayne Dammons on a felony charge of second degree sexual offense for an incident that took place on Monday afternoon.

The victim said that Dammons sat next to her and asked for money aboard a Glenmont-bound Red Line train, according to a Metro release. The teen alleged that Dammons then began flirting with her and touching her “in a sexual manner.” She said Dammons “exposed himself” to her before getting off of the train at Glenmont station.

The girl told an adult who alerted Metro officials about the incident. Detectives conducted an investigation that included reviewing camera footage from Red Line stations and aboard the railcar where the teen said the incident took place.

Officials arrested Dammons on Wednesday morning at a Metro station in Prince George’s County.
