Metrorail is shutting down the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Crystal City stations this weekend.

That means some Blue and Yellow Line riders may have to catch shuttle buses between Pentagon City, Crystal City, National Airport, and Braddock Road to complete their trips. Meanwhile, Blue and Yellow Line trains will run in two segments every 12 to 15 minutes.

The interruptions are due to a platform rehabilitation project and the installation of communication cables along the two lines.

Elsewhere on Metrorail this weekend, crews will work on switch maintenance and a grout pad renewal project that will cause Red Line trains to run every 24 minutes.

On the Orange Line, crews will also be working on grout pad renewal, in addition to rail, faster, and cover board renewal, which will cause riders to wait 20 minutes for trains.

The Green and Silver Lines are the only maintenance-free options this weekend.
