This summer, Beach Fossils returned with its first album in four years, Somersault, shaking off its lo-fi leanings and adding new layers to the mix. San Francisco producer Giraffage has been a big name in the chilled-out world of bedroom electro for much of the decade, but he just recently released his first album, Too Real. Jam master Phil Lesh brings his Terrapin Family Band and a bunch of special guests—folk-rock fave Nicki Bluhm, pedal steel soul man Robert Randolph, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band—to The Anthem. Doors 6 p.m. $75-$95. All ages, accessible venue.

On his debut album Good For You, Portland hip-hop upstart Aminé adds a pop-punk edge to his tales of losing and looking for love in all the wrong places. Artsy alt-pop singer-songwriter Lawrence Rothman enlisted some big indie rock names (Angel Olsen, Marissa Nadler, Kristin Kontrol) on his debut album The Book of Law, but will likely hold down the stage without them at DC9. Doors 8:30 p.m. $12. All ages, inaccessible venue.
