If you’re relying on the Red or Orange lines this weekend, be prepared for a wait: headways between trains will stretch as long as 30 minutes.

The Blue, Silver, and Yellow lines, meanwhile, will operate every 15 minutes and the Green Line will see normal service.

Work on the Red Line includes an expansion of a leak mitigation project, tripling work conducted over the summer by waterproofing the tunnels in a 4,000 foot section of track between Medical Center and Grosvenor stations.

People trying to get to DCA should also take note that the Yellow Line is only operating between Huntington and the National Airport. Anyone coming from points north will have to take the Blue Line.

Yellow Line
