Perhaps in anticipation of rider annoyance during their looming 24/7 repair schedule starting July 21, Metro is giving us a pretty good weekend.

Every train is running at its normal weekend intervals; there are no station closures or lines single tracking to be aware of, and every single line is running through to its designated last stop (the Yellow Line is actually going past Mount Vernon, for once). The only minor inconvenience to be aware of is at New Carrollton on the Orange Line, where all boarding is restricted to one side of the platform to allow for “platform rehabilitation.”

All trains will board from a single platform side at New Carrollton station to allow for platform rehabilitation. Please follow station signs and announcements for directions.
