This week is taking a leaf out of the Old Testament.

First, there was the blood red-hued water in the Dupont Circle fountain on Monday, and Tuesday’s rain is bringing with it some epic-looking flooding.

The Capitol South Metro station is not exactly a respite from the storm, if videos from the scene are any indication.

Metro tweeted that is aware of the issue, and is working to resolve it.

The Arlington Fire Department is telling drivers to avoid the George Washington Parkway by National Airport, posting a video of more than 20 vehicles with water up to their doors.

As of 4:51 p.m., a water rescue team had gotten all of the stranded pedestrians out of their vehicles.

D.C. Homeland Security and D.C. police warn drivers to stay away from the south side of the Douglass Bridge, because of standing water in the road.

As of 5 p.m., about 3,200 Pepco customers in D.C. were left without power after the rain storm, per the PepcoConnect outage map.
