Hooray for Hamilton! No not that Hamilton. Er, nope, not that one either. Starting ThursdayMonday, it’s finally time for the third Hamilton that comes to mind: the hotel near Franklin Square, which is giving away “plant-based” ice cream for the rest of the month.
From 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays starting this ThursdayMonday, feast on vegan ice cream from FoMu in one of two flavors chosen—sigh—to correspond to political parties. “Raspberry flavor, for those who lean right, and Blueberry, for lefties,” reads the press release. Fine. But it’s free! (As of Thursday, Aug. 23, Hamilton will serve strawberry ice cream instead of raspberry)
Much like another Founding Father, John Adams, FoMu comes to D.C. from Massachusetts. Unlike John Adams, FoMu is made with coconut milk and is entirely vegan.
