It’s been a rough couple of days for Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter. But it’s hard to feel bad, because it sounds like he had a really fun time between 2011 and 2016, when he allegedly used campaign finances on dinners and drinks at D.C. restaurants, according to an indictment filed Tuesday.

In addition to spending that cash on lavish trips and dental work, the California congressman and his wife, Margaret, allegedly racked up bills at Hill Country, H Street Country Club, Stoney’s, Matchbox, and Busboys and Poets, among other local spots. Now El Tamarindo, one of the spots the Hunters visited, is getting in on the fun.

Through Friday, the Adams Morgan Mexican-Salvadorian restaurant is presenting the “Duncan combo,” which includes one steak taco and a shot of Jose Cuervo for $10. Feast almost the way Hunter did on March 4, 2016, when he used campaign funds to pay for 30 shots of tequila and exactly one steak, according to the indictment.

Hopefully your night won’t also end with a $462.46 tab, as Hunter’s did when they went to El Tamarindo for what they said was a bachelor party. And for the record, the Hunters pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, falsification of records, prohibited use of campaign contributions, and others.

Eater was first to report the Tamarindo special.
