After last weekend’s mostly normal schedule, Metro is back to slower service this weekend.
The Orange and Blue lines will both be running 24 minutes apart. On Sunday, the Blue Line Franconia-Springfield station will be closed until approximately 2 p.m., with free shuttle busses to the station running every 10 minutes. The Silver Line will run every 24 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston stations.
The Red Line will have service every 18 minutes to accommodate rail tie and fastener renewal, according to the agency. Metro will add trains between Medical Center and Silver Spring during daytime hours.
On the Green and Yellow Lines, trains will run every 24 minutes with single tracking from stations between L’Enfant Plaza and Mt Vernon Sq. The Yellow Line will operate just between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq, as per usual.

Red Line
Trains every 9-18 minutes
Red Line trains will operate between Shady Grove and Glenmont every 18 minutes with additional trains between Medical Center and Silver Spring during daytime hours.
Single tracking between Grosvenor and Twinbrook to allow for joint elimination and rail, tie and fastener renewal.
Orange Line
Trains every 24 minutes
Single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon to allow for installation track bed lighting.
Silver Line
Trains every 24 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only
Silver Line trains operate every 24 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only to accommodate rebuilding on the Orange and Blue lines.
Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.
Blue Line
Trains every 24 minutes
Saturday & Sunday, Single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery to allow for installation track bed lighting.
Additionally, on Sunday from opening until approximately 2PM, free shuttle buses replace Blue Line trains at Franconia-Springfield. Please allow 10 minutes of travel time.

Yellow Line
Trains every 24 minutes Huntington to Mt Vernon Sq only
Single tracking between L’Enfant Plaza and Mt Vernon Sq to allow for joint elimination, rail fastener and insulator renewal.
Yellow Line trains will operate every 24 minutes between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only. Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt Vernon Sq should use the Green Line to complete their trip.
Green Line
