This weekend expect a higher wait time while waiting for your Metro train. As Veterans Day is observed Monday, expect off-peak fares in effect all day, as well as free parking at Metro-owned lots and garages.

The Orange and Silver lines will run every 24 minutes this weekend. The two lines will also have regular service on Veterans Day.

There’s bad news for the Blue Line: The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Crystal City stations will be closed through Monday to accommodate switch replacement, rail maintenance, and cable installation. Shuttle buses are replacing trains between Braddock Road and Pentagon City stations, as well as from Franconia-Springfield to Pentagon stations (this will also be true on the Yellow Line). Meanwhile, there’s single tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium Armory.

There’s single tracking on the Red Line, too, between Grosvenor and Twinbrook stations. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., trains will run every 9 minutes between Medical Center and Silver Spring, but will have a service time of every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont.

On Saturday, the Yellow Line will run every 12 minutes between Huntington and Braddock Rd and every 24 minutes between Pentagon City and Mt Vernon Sq. For Sunday, the line will run every 15 minutes between Huntington and Braddock Rd and every 24 minutes between Pentagon City and Mt Vernon Sq.

At least we can count on the Green Line to run regular service this weekend.
