Enjoy the Yellow Line while you can this Thanksgiving weekend.

The Metro route will completely shut down for 14 days from Nov. 26 through Dec. 9. to rebuild the Yellow Line bridge, which connects Pentagon City station to L’Enfant Plaza station. This weekend, it will run every 24 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square stations only.

On the Red Line, trains will run every 10 minutes between Shady Grove and Farragut North between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., and every 20 minutes between other Red Line stations. The last Glenmont-bound train will depart Shady Grove 18 minutes earlier than normal.

The Orange and Blue lines will be running every 24 minutes. The Silver Line will operate every 24 minutes only between Wiehle-Reston East and Largo Town Center stations.

Count on the Green Line to save you some time traveling this holiday weekend. It will (as usual) run normal weekend service times.

Single tracking between Farragut North and Judiciary Sq to allow for rail and fastener renewal.

Last train: The last Glenmont-bound train will depart Shady Grove and subsequent stations 18 minutes earlier than normal.

Orange Line

Trains every 24 minutes

To coordinate with rebuilding on the Blue and Silver lines, Orange Line trains will operate every 24 minutes.

Silver Line

Trains every 24 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Largo Town Center

Single tracking between Stadium-Armory and Addison Rd to allow for grout pad renewal and track bed maintenance.

Blue Line

Trains every 24 minutes

Singlet tracking between Stadium-Armory and Addison Rd to allow for grout pad renewal and track bed maintenance.

Yellow Line

Trains every 24 minutes between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only

To coordinate with rebuilding on the Blue Line, Yellow Line trains will operate at regular weekend intervals, every 12-15 minutes between Huntington & Mt Vernon Sq only. Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt Vernon Sq should use the Green Line to complete their trip.
