For furloughed government employees and their families, it’s not exactly “good times.” But disco greats Niles Rodgers & Chic appear determined to restore them, at least for a night.

The band has is set to perform at MGM National Harbor on January 26, setting aside 600 free tickets for those affected by this historically long government shutdown.

“Like many people, I’m frustrated by what’s happening and my heart goes out to these incredibly hard-working people who provide important service to our country, yet have had their lives, disrupted by circumstances, not of their doing,” Rodgers said in a statement. “As a two-time cancer survivor, I believe music has a tremendous power and this is a small gesture I can make to provide some joy and healing. In one of my biggest songs I wrote, ‘We Are Family, I’ve got all my sisters with me,’ I consider all of these people to be my brothers and sisters and I hope this lets them know that we are 100% behind them.”

The Washington D.C. show is one stop in their small series of headlining shows as they tour with Cher on the “Here We Go Again Tour.”

Furloughed workers looking to go can register for tickets here. The first 300 people to sign up will each receive two tickets to the show. Attendees will be asked to show their government IDs when picking up their tickets.
