If your weekend plans are on the Red Line, you might run into some more annoying delays than usual.
Farragut North station, along with the upper levels of Metro Center and Gallery Place, will all be closed. Free shuttles will replace Red Line trains between Dupont and Judiciary Square stations, as crews perform switch replacement and install track bed lighting, among other fixes.
Grout pad renewal will keep the Orange Line running every 20-24 minutes, so that line will also be running slow. Silver Line trains will be traveling between Wiehle-Reston and New Carrollton this weekend, so riders traveling to and from Benning Road, Capitol Heights, Addison Road, Morgan Boulevard, and Largo Town Center should use the Blue Line.
Blue Line trains will be running every 20 minutes and single tracking between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road, also for grout pad renewal. The Yellow Line will be running at regular weekend intervals until 10 p.m. After that, it will only run from Huntington to the Georgia Ave-Petworth station. Riders who need to go past that should take the Green Line.
The Green Line will be operating on its regular weekend schedule, but single tracking between Fort Totten & Prince George’s Plaza after 10 p.m.
