If you happen to be flying out of town this weekend, don’t count on Metro to get you to the airport. Blue Line stations between Franconia Springfield and National Airport, as well as Yellow Line stations between Huntington and the airport, will be closed and replaced with shuttle buses due to platform rehabilitation and rail and tie renewal. Metro suggests riders should allow for 15 minutes of travel time for each stop on both of these lines.

Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only because of fastener and rail renewal between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW stations. Additionally, Red, Orange, and Green Line trains will be single tracking at various stations throughout the weekend.

Red Line trains will single track between Van Ness and Dupont Circle for grout pad renewal and track maintenance. Orange Line trains will be running every 20 minutes and single tracking between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW. The Green Line will single track between Navy Yard-Ballpark and Anacostia, leaving trains operating every 16 minutes.
